Computacenter announces a new 3-year contract with UGAP, the French public sector procurement centre which has more than 22,000 public customers and fulfilled 925,000 orders in 2019.

This contract includes all Oracle products, as well as the associated supply chain services to enable UGAP’s customers to efficiently implement their digital transformation projects.

The solutions included in the catalogue (hardware, software and SaaS) will enable all public organisations to design, acquire and deploy Oracle solutions through a single point of contact, for greater efficiency and speed. UGAP’s customers will also benefit from the support of Computacenter commercial and solution experts as they select Oracle products and services. These specialists are Oracle-certified and have in-depth knowledge of the needs of public sector organisations.

For the services part, Computacenter has joined forces with Digora, a services specialist for Oracle environments, who will add value through their extensive expertise.

The solutions in the catalogue will enable:

  • greater agility and reponsiveness thanks to integrated systems (Turnkey Appliances) and Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud services,
  • better performance and resilience provided by the high availability and data processing speeds of Oracle products.

In detail, the agreement includes:

  • software, and in particular the database and its options – Oracle’s flagship products,
  • integrated systems, such as Exadata, which combine Oracle hardware and software for optimised, turnkey operation,
  • Cloud and Hybrid Cloud services, which allow high agility and speed of deployment.

Computacenter can complement the software products, working with UGAP’s specialist IT consultants to support their customers in their transformation projects, offering audit, architecture planning, deployment on-site integration services, etc.

‘UGAP trusts us to support its customers, whatever their size, on needs ranging from hardware and the associated OS to ERP, including of course the iconic Oracle database, both in the customer’s data centre and in the cloud. Thanks to our partnerships and certifications with the major IT players, our expertise in this market and our knowledge of the specificities of public accounts for many years, our regional teams and solutions experts understand the issues and problems of public players in order to guide them through the different stages of their project to transform and optimise their infrastructure,’ explains Arnaud Lépinois, Computacenter’s Managing Director for France.

‘The public sector (central and local governments, as well as the health sector) is accelerating the digitalisation of its activities in order to offer users even more efficient services at a controlled cost. UGAP are at the heart of Oracle’s value proposition to support this transformation. We are therefore very pleased with UGAP’s renewal of the Oracle contract and are confident in the ability of Computacenter and Digora to deliver the value chain of our offers, whether On Premise or Cloud,’ adds Frédéric Andolfi, Commercial Director of Partners for Oracle France.

‘For the second time in partnership with Computacenter, we are very pleased to be able to offer our expertise in the implementation and maintenance of Oracle environments. Our range of Oracle managed services with a commitment to results, combined with our knowledge of the public sector, which is now part of our strategic sectors, as well as our presence in the regions alongside the Computacenter teams, are the assurance of controlled digital transformation projects’, explains Gilles Knoery, Managing Director of Digora.
